Common Logic (CL) has provided consulting, staffing and operational support to numerous broadcast entities and support companies in the sports and entertainment businesses. Located in Connecticut, CL has long-term arrangements with primary clients MetLife Stadium, NHRA and Big Ten Network.
Common Logic was started by Dave Shaw in 2008 (over 30 years of experience in live sports broadcasting) who returned recently after a 14-year stint serving as VP Head of Media Operations for the NFL where he oversaw all NFL studio and remote production operations for NFL Network linear channel and NFL Media's digital productions, including managing the buildout of its new facility in Inglewood CA. Prior, he served as President of Venue Services Group for five years, a systems integration/staffing firm where he oversaw building of multiple sports production facilities including NESN, MASN, MSG, Tennis Channel and mobile units for NMT and clients CBS Sports, NESN, Fox Sports and ESPN; and he was Senior Vice President of Technical Operations and Engineering at Madison Square Garden Network and Fox Sports NY where he oversaw all operations and engineering for over 650 live events per year and was a multiple Emmy-award winning editor and technician during his 23-year tenure.
Common Logic currently has been managed by Heather Barkley and employs technical management, IT management, production management and traffic coordinators, and has a large database of freelance hires in the broadcast business.
